Every month, seven or more books are rotated out of the library and replaced by new entries.

Personal and site news

My sales since my last update have been okay-but-not-great – with the exception of Tomboy by Tori Hamlin (link) which has absolutely smashed all my sales records. Something about this title is absolutely driving customers wild – if you don’t know why, make sure to check it out!

I had a bout of bad health mixed with life obligations in the middle of the month that saw me get very behind in work and writing, to the point that book releases and some new stories were delayed. With the publication of this post, I am pleased to say that I am now caught up, and should be good going forwards.

Just generally, moving to the new Core Stories model has been disruptive of my writing schedule (temporarily, I hope). For some stories I have chapters ready a month or even two in advance. For others I’ve been struggling to get them done at the last minute. I think that disruption is now over.

Also, I’m moving my writing / drafting / story sorting software away from a mix of Google and Word and toward Scrivener. This is largely because Scrivener is able to handle large collections of stories more effectively than the other options, and the size of my library was starting to get unwieldly in those other apps.

The downside is that Scrivener is not as good at handling images. This may mean I do Early Access stories differently for paid members. The Early Access PDFs currently include the raw story art for each chapter next to the title of the chapter. Scrivener is bad at this kind of inline placement. In future, I *may* instead include that art on separate pages, possibly at the end of the file. They’ll still have front covers as normal.

I don’t expect the change to Scrivener to otherwise be visible to readers in any way.

Delayed Schedule – 19 March to 26 March

Quick update for All These Roadworks readers:

Due to a combination of (relatively trivial) illness, medical appointments, and time-consuming life events, some scheduled and previously-advertised items may be delayed over the next week.

Specifically, it is likely that the following items may be delayed, possibly by multiple days.
