Personally I’m doing fine. We’re surviving a hot Australian summer better than we have in some previous years thanks to the amazing air conditioning in our new(-ish) house.
I’m getting plenty of writing done – although a lot of has been on unexpected side-stories that inspired me, leading to the creation of Lessons in Lust (which appeared in the recent re-release of that book) and Poster Girls (which was in this week’s book release).
The site did well in January! By which I mean, it did a lot better than the back half of 2025, and pulled the numbers that I really need it to do every month.
BUT February is down from that. Sales this month are about $50 a day less than what would be safe. I’m continuing to keep an eye on this.

Let’s get straight to the headline here. The new edition of Lessons in Lust contains an eight-chapter, 16,000-word novella that you haven’t read – because nobody has read it.
That’s right, it’s a complete all-new All These Roadworks novella, debuting in a new edition of an old book. It’s insane but true.
As regular All These Roadworks readers would know, the original plan with my story collection e-books was for each book to feature a range of great stories related to its specific theme. Because I thought that readers would only be buying the books that matched their particular kinks, there was a significant overlap of stories between books to ensure that, for example, the “schoolgirl” book had all the best “schoolgirl stories”, even if they’d been published previously.
It’s since become clear that readers would prefer to collect every book, and have unique stories in every book, so I’ve been engaged in a program of re-releasing older books where I replace the duplicated stories with new content.
When it came time to do Lessons in Lust, that presented a big challenge… because more than half the book was republished work. Once I’d pulled out all those stories, there was a huge hole to fill.
So I wrote a novella, with the same title as the book: Lessons in Lust. You can read the synopsis near the bottom of this post. It was meant to be only four chapters, and around 9,000 words, but it got out of control, and by the time it was one it was eight chapters, and 16,000 words.
That means the new edition of Lessons in Lust is over 30,000 words – 50% longer than my target for books of this sort.
Am I charging 50% more as a result? No! Lessons in Lust is still only $4.99! That’s a ridiculous bargain.

My selection
For my own selection of two stories, I’m choosing Madelyn’s Conservatorship because it’s broadly popular across the readership and I enjoy writing it, and Compelled Courtesy because it’s very new and the general readership haven’t even seen it yet, I think it’s going to be popular once you read it, and I need a certain number of hypno stories each month for some of the hypno sites that I post content on.

When will the Core Stories schedule start?
March. I already have most of the February stories will written, so the “one chapter every month” will begin at the start of March.
Does this mean these are the only serial stories that will get new chapters now?
No, but other stories will be a lot slower. These stories will occupy the first eight serial chapter slots of each month. Those are the stories released on Mondays and Thursdays (Australian time) for Premium Members, or Wednesdays and Saturdays for free readers on this site. If there are more than eight such days in a month, then there will be an additional chapter of something else, plus I plan to use some of the “one-shot” slots for extra chapters from time to time, as I have in the past.
There will be, for example, an eight-part serial called “Lessons in Lust” running every second Friday starting on 30 January, which is a novella I wrote for the new edition of the book of that name.
The story The Parole Officer was also relatively close to being finished and I might put the extra work in to get that done. (No promises.)
What happens when a story is finished?
I’m not sure yet. My intention is to once again poll the readership in some way, but I’m thinking I might not do that until at least two stories are finished. (When I have one finished story but not two, I’ll temporarily fill the slot with chapters of my choosing.)
It’s likely that the first stories to finish will be The Cheerleader Conversion and Titsy, but no promises.
What about the long-term Premium Member request program?
I’m going to keep taking requests from long-term Premium Members, but I’m going to be a lot slower getting through them now.
How will I know when the Core Story chapters are coming?
They’ll appear each month in the same order as I’ve listed them above.
In future Upcoming Stories posts I’ll indicate the expected Core Story dates, whether I’ve written them yet or not. The next such post will be mid-February.
