Personal News – House Move and Health

I am now all moved into the new house! A lot of rooms are still kind of a chaos of unopened boxes, but the place is basically usable. It’s a fair bit smaller than our last house, but previously we were renting and now we’re owning so it’s an acceptable trade. I’m still doing my ATR work out of a converted garage, which doesn’t heat/cool as well as the rest of the house, so I’m probably going to still have trouble on very cold or very hot days.

Thank you everyone for supporting the move. It’s still been a pretty big drain on my cash reserves to make the move happen, though, so if you’re feeling generous please don’t hesitate to visit the All These Roadworks store (link) or even just make a gratuitous donation to my finances (link).

Also, while we’re here, an update on my health. It’s now been two years since I had my stroke (link), and by the standards of stroke survivors I’m doing exceptionally well. My specialists are pretty sure that the stroke was caused by primary aldosteronism (Wikipedia link) which basically spiked by blood pressure into the stratosphere without warning, and which has continued to do so ever since.

I’ve got no permanent after-effects of the stroke except for the high blood pressure itself, and that’s tolerably managed by a mix of daily medication. However, the medication package as a whole leaves me very short of energy, in a manner somewhat akin to chronic fatigue, and the specific medication that most effectively targets the aldosteronism unfortunately fucks with testosterone and other sexual hormones, with the result of a significantly reduced libido.

Reduced libido means… well, from your perspective, it means it’s harder for me to write. I’m in the mood less often, and my brain spends less time overall developing sexy scenarios. (And in some ways that’s for the best, because sustained long-term arousal is also bad for my blood pressure.)

I’m keeping up so far, but I’m generally finishing stories closer to my (self-imposed) deadlines than I’d like. So if you see a serial story go up a day late, or get swapped for a one shot, that’s why. I’m expecting to keep up my output on average (roughly 6,000 words of new content a week) but it’s just a little trickier than it was two years ago.

I’m exploring alternate treatment options (through conversation with my doctors) and I’m hopeful for a more work-friendly health regime in the future.

Here’s what’s coming soon for free readers. All these stories are coming to the free queues on this site, BDSMLR, and ReblogMe, hopefully on the dates shown. The run of reblogs in late May relates to the week I took off to move house. I did no new serial stories in that week, and this is the point where it flows through to new readers.

Note that the story “The Objectification Artist, Parts 1 and 2” was the result of a previously mentioned request for a fornophilia / House of Gord-esque story. They’re collected in the recent e-book release The Objectification Artist (link).

The “Tiffany” stories resulted from a member request for a “daddy’s girl” story. They’re not presented as numbered chapters, but the intended reading order is as follows:
