Okay, so we’ve been dancing around this for a while, but it’s official – this site is no longer paying my bills. I’ve got some safety net, but basically it means I need to look for a day job again, and I’ve already put in some applications.

That’s likely to be a three-day a week arrangement. I’m still going to be writing and running this site, but I’m probably going to need to reassess how I do that, and it may mean reducing my content schedule.

I’m not going to make any decisions on that until I get a job, and I don’t have a clear idea what that will mean for memberships yet. Whatever I do, I’m going to make sure no one is out of pocket for a membership they’ve already purchased, but there’s no point speculating precisely how at this stage. The jobs market is tough, and I might get something next week, or I might be looking for a while.

In the meantime, a quick reminder that if you want your e-book professionally edited and formatted and/or want cover design (with or without AI) and are willing to pay for it, that’s a thing I can do for you – get in touch. Or alternatively, if you’re dying to see more of a particular story – or something new – and are willing to pay commission rates, I’m open to that too.

Here’s a quick recap of the last month-and-a-bit of book releases, in case you missed some:

Free Queue

Here’s what’s coming soon for free readers! All these stories are coming to the free queue on this site, hopefully on the dates shown. They’re also coming to Imaglr, a couple of weeks after that.

A reminder that the following eight stories are Core Stories and are guaranteed at least one chapter every month until they’re done: The Silver Leash, The Cheerleader Conversion, Compelled Courtesy, Noncon Isekai, The Etrebor Assignment, Titsy, Madelyn’s Conservatorship, and The Foster Girl.

Quick notes on a few stories:

  • The Lesbian Debt will be reblogged weekly over the next year in the same fashion as Titcage.
  • The one-shot stories Sex Crimes and The Female Intelligence Test appear in the new edition of Systems of Control and you can read them right now by purchasing that book.
  • The new stories Destiny’s Movie Night, Destiny at the Gym and Destiny Wins an Award all appear in the new book Destiny Stories and you can read the right now by purchasing that book.
  • The story The Invisible Guest was supposed to be the free reader story for 20 August, but somehow it got published on 24 July instead. There are logistical difficulties with fixing that, so there will not be a free story on 20 August – sorry!
  • I’m still intending to drop new chapters of Tease Dare every second Friday for the foreseeable future.
  • I’m currently expecting to wrap up The Parole Officer with Part 25 (or possibly Part 26), and the complete book will be published on 15 August at the $9.99 novel pricepoint.

  1. Have you considered flooding the guest version of the site – especially the story pages – with ads, which are reduced for anyone with an acct, eliminated for anyone with a paid membership?

    1. I’m assuming this is a joke. 🙂
      But also currently paid memberships aren’t site memberships in any meaningful way – the site doesn’t know whether you’re a member or not (other than in its subscription tracker) because WordPress didn’t have native subscription functionality when I set this up.
      It does *now*, and theoretically I *could* switch everything over to the native subscription model and then subscription-gate things on the site.
      But the amount I’m coming up short at the moment isn’t a “tinkering around the edges” amount; it’s clearly a result of larger shifts that I can’t control, one of which is the total enshittification of BDSMLR, which used to be a major traffic driver, and another of which is economic conditions generally.

  3. Hi! A small question, that I have been curious about for a while.

    Have you considered having more advanced chapters for subscribers?

    Personally I really like Madelyn’s Consevatorship and I subscribed when I saw that I if I did I could get access to like 5-6 chapters of the series.

    I also ask cause I have seen this model used and it seems to work pretty well, to be specific, I have seen it used for online webnovels, where the webnovel is published for free in platforms like RoyalRoad and so on, but you can subscribe to the writer’s patreon and gain access to 20-50 chapters of the series, which more or less corresponds to 1-3 months of chapters in advance (then you kinda need to keep being subscribed or you have to wait a long time to keep reading a series you’re already pretty invested in).

    Also, unrelated to this: in the last chapter for members of Madelyn’s Consevatorship (15), in the last page there’s this line: “Can you think of one for Avery?” I think you meant Madelyn cause the conversation that follows doesn’t make much sense for Avery.

      The issue with Madelyn’s Conservatorship Part 15 is now fixed in my master file and should be fixed when it goes live to free readers (or in the next chapter for members). Thanks for this!

      I don’t object in principle to getting the member queue up to three or even four months ahead of what free readers are getting (instead of the 50-ish days that it’s at currently) but that does require finding time to write the additional one or two months of material necessary to do that over and above my regular writing workload – and I’m struggling to keep up with the writing as it is, so it’s probably not going to happen soon.
