I’m running a quick survey of All These Roadworks readers to get a better sense of who I’m writing for, and what you like.

If you have read at least two stories by All These Roadworks and enjoyed them, then you are eligible to take the survey.

The survey will take about five minutes. It is hosted on Google Forms, and it is completely anonymous – no identifying information is collected. Your participation helps me to better meet your interests as readers.

The survey is open until the end of November 2024.

UPDATE: The survey is closed as of 21 November as I already have more than 500 responses, which is more than enough.

  1. It didn’t twig until a while after I’d done the survey but I’d like to have seen an option for breast expansion in there. I know your stories don’t go to the extremes of BE (whilst they do go to the extremes of ‘realistic’ BE) it is one of my original interests.

      1. Yeah, that’s fair as you don’t really go to the impossible proportions that would make it distinct from bimbofication.

  2. I’m seeing some people asking questions about the mental health and religion questions. They’re not super-important questions but I did want to get a feel for how many readers might be struggling with conflicted feelings about consuming my writing, because over the years I’ve had contact with a few people who were in very bad mental health spaces, and if they were representative of some significant cohort then I’d need to examine how I approach that in terms of ethics and safety.

And the religion question is just a check-and-balance against that, because the science strongly shows that negative feelings and self-reported harms around porn consumption correlate strongly to religious upbringings – i.e. if you were told to feel ashamed of sexuality when you were a child (regardless of what you then did as an adult), then you’re vastly more likely to have mental health impacts related to porn as an adult, and if not then not.

Basically I just wanted to check that my readers were doing okay with what they were reading, and, if they weren’t, to see if that was explained by the existing science on guilt and upbringing.

Anyway I’m going to talk about all the questions in more depth when I publish results.

    1. I did have a small crisis of conscience after the recent election, but your own post on the subject helped to emphasise that what we enjoy here is simply fiction with no inherent reflection on us, nor indicative of support for real-life misogynists.

I’ve already filled in the survey, but I wanted to say I’ve since gone from being a non-paying reader to a purchaser.
