Are there likely to be any updates to the Surrender storylines? I was really enjoying that series.
Definitely more Surrender coming. (Any mind control / hypno story is pretty much guaranteed to stay close to hand, because of the significant market those stories have on sites like MCStories.)
But as always, I have 25+ ongoing stories, and it takes time for them to each have their turn. (I know that’s too many stories, and I hope to close off more than I start over coming months.)
Question: is there a cycle of some sort the serialised stories are under? Or is it arbitrary and up to your mood/muse? Asking mainly for Candy Girls (I know you just updated but I really like that story), Incentive for Ethan, The Bonuses, and Surrender (though in hindsight you already answered above so… Oops!)
On a separate note: I really enjoy your writings (particularly hypnosis and whenever you do public/exposure stuff) and I wanted to say thank you.
I ask my long-term paid Premium Members (of more than a year’s standing) which stories they want to see more of, and that forms the backbone of my writing queue. On top of that, I need to deliver a certain amount of hypno stories/chapters of at least 2,000 words in length because MCStories is one of my biggest traffic referrers and I need to give them weekly content. On top of that, I know that “hypno” and “office” are the two themes that sell the most books on my store, so I want to service that demand.
So that’s my “ideal” output. But at the end of the day I can only write if I’m actually aroused by what I’m writing, so I jump back and forth between my “high-priority” options as my mood demands, or go for something a bit more obscure or something that’s entirely to please myself if I have the itch. The biggest driver of that is how “nasty” I’m feeling. If I’m in the mood for something deeply fucked-up, I write “Brea Comes Home” or “Small Town Values” or “Pregnant in Modwina”, and if I’m feeling a little more romantic I go for “The Bonuses” or “Selling Brielle”.
Anyway, nothing unfinished is really abandoned forever (with the exception of “The Fan” and “Essential Nightly News”, both of which left me completely cold after I’d written the first chapter). But where stories fall at the intersection of “I haven’t worked out what to do next” and “no long-term Premium Members are asking for it”, it might be a while before you see more of it.
Specifically to your requests, and ignoring chapters already foreshadowed in this post:
– There’s a new chapter of “Candy Girls” going live in Early Access to paid ATR members on Monday (6 March 2023), and readers of free queues will see it about 50 days after that.
– “An Incentive for Ethan” is literally the next story at the top of my writing queue, in terms of being the most urgent to continue, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be the next thing I write. (Mood permitting, etc.) But it should definitely be in the next four or so serial chapters after Candy Girls.
– “The Bonuses” is a story that I, personally, am very keen on, but I don’t have a specific request for it right now from my long-term Premium Members, so it might be a while unless I take a diversion to satisfy myself.
– I’ve got multiple chapters of “Surrender” requested, so there’ll definitely be more, and it’s just a matter of when I get to those in my queue. Probably relatively soon, because of the aforementioned imperative to keep producing hypno content.
