That’s right, it’s a complete all-new All These Roadworks novella, debuting in a new edition of an old book. It’s insane but true.

As regular All These Roadworks readers would know, the original plan with my story collection e-books was for each book to feature a range of great stories related to its specific theme. Because I thought that readers would only be buying the books that matched their particular kinks, there was a significant overlap of stories between books to ensure that, for example, the “schoolgirl” book had all the best “schoolgirl stories”, even if they’d been published previously.
It’s since become clear that readers would prefer to collect every book, and have unique stories in every book, so I’ve been engaged in a program of re-releasing older books where I replace the duplicated stories with new content.
When it came time to do Lessons in Lust, that presented a big challenge… because more than half the book was republished work. Once I’d pulled out all those stories, there was a huge hole to fill.
So I wrote a novella, with the same title as the book: Lessons in Lust. You can read the synopsis near the bottom of this post. It was meant to be only four chapters, and around 9,000 words, but it got out of control, and by the time it was one it was eight chapters, and 16,000 words.
That means the new edition of Lessons in Lust is over 30,000 words – 50% longer than my target for books of this sort.
Am I charging 50% more as a result? No! Lessons in Lust is still only $4.99! That’s a ridiculous bargain.
In addition, it also contains the other changes I’ve been bringing to new editions: a new cover, updated internal images where appropriate, and an edited version of the bonus “exam” content which will allow the Smashwords release of this book to be identical to the one sold on my site.

Lessons in Lust – new novella
