She had gone to the hypnotherapist for help being good at her job, but had balked at seeing his prohibitive prices. He had offered her a deal – he’d give her the treatment she wanted, as long as he got to give her one extra suggestion which he thought would improve her. Hesitantly, she agreed.
He did as he said. Over several hours he implanted a deep need to be very good at her job, to work long hours, to put the needs of customers and management ahead of her own, to work even when she didn’t enjoy working, to dress appropriately to her position and to practice relevant job skills even when not on duty.
When she woke up from the trance she felt funny. “What was the extra suggestion you implanted?” she asked him.
“Oh,” he said, smiling. “Just that you should start a new career as a prostitute…”
